How to Apply Essential Oils

Aromatherapy

Therapeutic-grade essential oils not only smell wonderful, but also provide therapy as they are inhaled.  One may inhale the oil directly from the bottle or place a few drops in their hands, rub them together and cup their hands over their nose and inhale.   One may also use a diffuser to disperse a micro-fine vapor into the air.  Be careful to choose a diffuser that does not heat the oils with the use of an open flame as the extreme heating will alter their chemical structure and eliminate their therapeutic value.

Topical Application

Therapeutic –grade essential oils may be applied undiluted (neat) directly on the skin.  Unlike oils that are impure and adulterated, therapeutic-grade essential oils do not require dilution.   Therapeutic-grade essential oils are absorbed through the skin rapidly and begin to provide therapy almost instantly.

However, you should not put them in your eyes or ears.

Internal Use

Therapeutic –grade essential oils are safe to consume.  Flavor water, add to a piece of bread, use in your favorite recipe or even place the oils on the tongue and swallow.  You may also choose to place a few drops in an empty vegetable capsules and swallow with water.

Whichever method you choose,  use only therapeutic –grade oils.

DO NOT consume oils that are of inferior quality, they will make you sick.

*We do not endorse the use of any essential oil that is not of therapeutic-grade quality in any way.  Oils that are of inferior quality will not provide therapy and may cause harm as they are often cut and adultered with harmful chemicals.
